We had the absolute privilege of staying here over the weekend, and from the very moment we arrived, we were met with a beautifully warm and genuine welcome. We were greeted not as guests, but as friends coming to stay — a truly special touch that set the tone for our visit. Our room was grand, steeped in history, and elegantly appointed, while still offering all the finishes and comforts one would expect from a modern luxury hotel. The bed was an absolute delight — so wonderfully comfortable that leaving it the next morning felt almost impossible. Dinner during our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was delicious, faultlessly prepared, and presented to perfection. Emma’s knowledge of the menu, her thoughtful wine pairings, and her attentiveness to allergy awareness were truly outstanding and added greatly to the experience. Head chef “Freddie” Forster absolutely excelled — the flavours were exquisite and the presentation impeccable. After more than nine hours of the most blissful sleep, we returned for breakfast and were once again met with perfection. There was simply nothing to fault. The hotel itself is stunning — warm, charming, and full of character — but what truly sets it apart is the staff. Their passion, professionalism, and genuine happiness in their roles shine through in every interaction. It would be a true privilege to stay again in the future.

Simply amazing from arrival to departure. The staff really care and it shows. Food is absolutely outstanding and allergy’s are fully catered for. Rooms sumptuous well appointed and comfortable. Very quiet hotel with a home from home relaxed lay back feeling. love this place will definitely return

A very traditional hotel with lots of charm and character. The breakfast was excellent with great service and a good selection of well cooked dishes. Well appointment bar with a wide range of drinks My only criticism would be that the bathroom and shower taps need replacing as it waa difficult to regulate the shower.

Tucked away in a quiet, safe neighborhood just one block from Kensington and Hyde Park, the location could not be better—peaceful, elegant, and perfectly walkable to some of the best parts of London. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and impeccably maintained, with all the victorian charm you hope for in a London boutique hotel stay and the comfort you actually want while traveling. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every interaction was warm and thoughtful, and the level of care felt genuinely personal. A very special shout-out to Cristan, who went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable. Cristan was kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful—always with a welcoming smile and excellent recommendations. It’s rare to meet someone who makes you feel so genuinely looked after, and that alone would bring me back. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel in a fantastic London location with outstanding service, this place is a no-brainer. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

From arrival to departure, we were treated by the super attentive and friendly staff exuding genuine warmth and appreciation. The public rooms as well as our bedroom wete wonderfully presented; period furnishings blended with up-to-date comforts and features. Tip-top cleanliness and luxury throughout the hotel. Strongly recommend dining in-house and savouring celebrity-chef Frederick Forster's amazing dishes. I recommend this superb London hotel without any hesitation!

Beautiful hotel, combination of luxury and old style! Staff were all amazing! Room was quiet, comfortable and super clean, a little warm for us but the staff brought us a fan with in minutes of asking! Would definitely book again, it’s beautiful and location perfect! Staff definitely made it an amazing stay! You won’t be disappointed- book it!

We had a fantastic 5-night stay! The Gore is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history and a cozy atmosphere. Everything was clean an to our full satisfaction. The breakfast was delicious every morning, and all the staff were very attentive. Perfect location for sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for our 40th Wedding Anniversary.... it was really lovely, clean and comfortable. The staff were super attentive, lovely and made us feel welcome and special. Would hightly recommend a stay here. The service was great and friendly.
